Walmart’s Annual Open Call is for American Entrepreneurs. Apply now to sell your “Products Made, Grown or Assembled in the U.S.”. According to the press release, the application process is now open to apply for the opportunity to meet with Walmart buyers on June 30, 2021. Unlike typical events where people meet in person, this is an online virtual pitch meeting.
The Made in USA products chosen will be sold both at Walmart stores and online. This should be a huge boost for anyone trying to expand their market. According to the press release, “This year’s Open Call attendees could secure opportunities that range from promoting products in a handful of stores in local markets to supplying products to hundreds, even thousands, of Walmart stores, Sam’s Clubs and online.” That sounds like it could be a huge opportunity, so logic would say go for it!

Walmart’s Annual Open Call application page describes it as “an action packed one day virtual event. Walmart welcomes suppliers to virtually pitch product that is shelf ready and made, grown or assembled in the United States”. In addition to applying for the event on the page, there is also a short video with a recap of the 2020 event.
